ANDERSEN
Instructor: Ms. Andersen

In second grade most children practice the skills learned in earlier grades and begin to use them with ease. Second graders apply what they learned about the meanings of letters and numbers to more complicated material, and begin to develop their analytical abilities even further.  Second grade Teachers foster confidence and help students to grasp basic concepts like reading, simple geography, science, language arts, and mathematic skills. Teachers work diligently with 2nd graders so that they'll be able to read fluently for comprehension by the end of the year.  The skills your student acquires will provide the foundation for future learning.

Classroom Rules
Our classroom rules are simple, but they cover a lot of ground.  The consequences include moving your name on a clothespin from the "Happy Green Frog" to the different colored frog based on the number of rules broken.  Each day students will start at the "Happy Green Frog"!  If your child is continuously having difficulty following room rules I will send home a daily report to communicate areas which need improvement.  Behavior charts will be sent home at the end of each month.

RULES:
*Be Safe
*Be Respectful
*Be Responsible

CONSEQUENCES:
Green Frog-Happy!
Yellow Frog-Warning
Orange Frog-Re-Focus
Blue Frog-"Buddy" Room
Red Frog-Trip to the Office
